Laura:
Laura is deived from the latin for "laurel", a symbol, in the classical world, of victory and poetic genius.
Laura was the name of the young woman who the Italian poet, Petrarch met and fell in love with in Avignon in 1327. She was the inspiration for his poetry and the name has been popular with poets ever since.

Miss Laura Elizabeth, a sweet young lady from Virginia, USA,

Laura was christened on 4th January 2004.
