From the Hebrew, meaning "Grace". In the Old Testament, Hannah was the mother of the prophet Samuel. The name has been used in Britain since the 17th century. A variant form is "Ann" or "Anne".

from Germany.
Hannah was born on 18th May 2004
at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, the American Military Hospital in Germany.

Almost exactly one year after her sister, Lena was born in the same hospital.

Hannah was christened on 12th December 2004
in her father, Mark's home village of Schmalenberg.
