Alexander:
From the Greek meaning "defender of men". It was made famous in the 4th century BC by Alexander the Great, conqueror of most of the known world, who was admired for his courage and acts of humanity. The name was very popular in England in the Middle Ages and was the name adopted by several popes.The name was borne by the inventor, Alexander Graham Bell and by Sir Alexander Fleming, discoverer of penicillin.

and was christened on February 29th, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stamford, Connecticut, USA
