Aleksandra
The feminine form of Alexander, from the greek, meaning "helper and defender of mankind", made famous by Alexander the Great. The beautiful Princess Alexandra of Denmark made the name very popular, when she came to England to marry the future king, Edward VII, in 1863.

These lovely pictures of Aleksandra on her Special Day were sent to us by her aunt, Bozena, who says :

"Thank you very much for such a beautiful little gown. We had many comments from many people saying that they have never seen such an outfit and the baby looked definitely special on this day! By far the best dressed in church! Someone mentioned that it looked like Royal christening J with all that lace and pretty bonnet! Simply gorgeous."
