Back in the 1990s we discovered that it was very difficult to find christening wear on the high street. The few christening gowns available were often grubby and shop soiled, having been handled by a multitude of customers. So in 1998, with just 6 christening gowns and 12 pairs of christening shoes, we started Honfleur Christening Gowns. Our aim was to offer customers christening wear in pristine condition, direct from our website.
When our first customer placed an order, for a pair of christening shoes by Early Days, we opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate !
Now, many years later, we have expanded our range of products but still try to provide the same level of customer service and the same attention to detail as we did when we first started
We know how important it is to find an outfit which is just right for your baby’s christening and which is so special that it will become an heirloom, treasured by future generations of your family. Therefore we have carefully selected each of the christening gowns and other items displayed on our website.
We give fabric details and measurements for all our garments to make it easy for you to order. However, if you need any more information, or just want to chat, we will be delighted to hear from you, either by email or by telephone. (you may get our answering machine, but we will call you back as soon as we can.)
Prior to shipping, we inspect each christening gown or christening suit, to ensure that it is absolutely perfect. It is then carefully pressed and packed with lots of acid free tissue paper to protect it during its journey.
Your order will be delivered to your door in a matter of days. Postage on all orders is charged at cost and includes Air Mail postage for all overseas orders.
